The consumption of milk and dairy products represents an important part of the daily diet of many people, providing essential nutrients such as calcium, proteins and vitamins. These products are particularly relevant in the eating habits of different age groups, contributing to nutritional needs both during growth and in the adult phase.
Adolescents represent the group with the highest average consumption (267 g/day), followed by adults (239 g/day), the elderly (219 g/day) and children (182 g/day).
Regardless of the age group, consumption is greater in males than females, with a minimum daily intake in girls (170 g/day) and a maximum in adolescent males (304 g/day).
79% of the sample prefers pasta, followed by bread (76%), biscuits (57%), savory baked goods (other than bread and pizza) (48%) and pizza (34%).
8% of these products come from whole foods, particularly savory baked goods, bread, biscuits, pasta and rice, and are most consumed by adults.
