Let's talk about cioccolato with our sommelier Giulia Moscatelli.

Chocolate taster or chocolate sommelier (yes, there is not only wine): in whichever version you prefer to say it, I would still define myself as a chocolate lover.



Everyone or almost everyone says they are crazy about chocolate and that in order not to exert superhuman strength in avoiding eating the whole bar, they don't even buy it so they have solved the problem.

Don't worry, in most cases this addiction is due to sugar, not chocolate.

Don't worry, it's obviously ironic.


We can taste chocolate without feeling guilty and enjoying its characteristics, its aromas, its creaminess, but... we need to learn to know it, to choose it, to taste it.

Cocoa was called "The food of the gods" and this prompted me to get to know it more deeply. An extraordinary product with a thousand-year history that has a lot to say about itself and the people, the stories it has touched


Once I entered my first Salon du Chocolat in 2017 in Milan, it was love at first sight.

Since that moment this world has overwhelmed me, I have been fascinated by the colors of the cocoa fruits, by the skill with which the campesinos open them, by the meticulous attention that is required in all phases in the field, in transport and in the laboratory to get a good chocolate that

maintains both its organoleptic characteristics and its nutritional properties.

I had the pleasure of being responsible for 3 years of a small Venchi laboratory in Fico in which I involved people in practical and theoretical courses, accompanying them in the tasting part.


Cocoa is a super food, if treated and transformed in the correct way we can enjoy its unique, addictive taste and its beneficial effects, often unknown.
