Obesity is today not only one of the major global health emergencies, but also a major environmental issue. According to the World Health Organization, more than a billion people live with this condition, an expression of sedentary lifestyles and unbalanced eating habits. However, the excess of food consumed does not only affect individual health: it also generates a "metabolic waste" that contributes significantly to the environmental impact of the global food system.



The connection between obesity and food sustainability therefore requires an urgent reflection on how our daily behaviors influence both our well-being and the Earth's ecosystem. Promoting balanced and sustainable food models, such as the Mediterranean diet, is not only a healthy choice, but also an act of responsibility towards the planet.
